Are there any fans of John Anderson out there?  While on holiday in the States I heard his song _Seminole Wind_ on the radio and was instantly taken by it.  I didn't get the chance to check out his recordings while in America but have succeeded in getting his 1992 CD _Seminole Wind_ as in import here in a Virgin megastore in Ireland.   The CD is on the BMG Music label: BNA07863 61029-2. However I was slightly disappointed to find that the recording of _Seminole Wind_ on this album doesn't quite live up to my aural memories of first hearing it on the radio. Does anyone know if there are different recordings of it going about?  Perhaps a single or 12 ?  The ending on this album version peeters (sp?) away into a slow piano bit at the end, whereas I recall the rousing fiddle carrying it through on the version I heard.      Gerry, just wanted to mention that I didn't know much about John Anderson either until I saw his video of Seminole Wind on TNN (The Nashville Network).  It was amazing, a great song perfectly realized on video.  He was playing guitar and singing this song in the everglades at night. In front of a bonfire with Seminole Indians dancing in full regalia and with great dignity.  It was an arresting image that I haven't forgotten.  I don't know much else that he has done but I respect him for this.  Cheers.

For those who are not familiar with John Anderson, it's well worth the effort to do so.  Anderson was successful first in the late '70s - early '80s, charting with 1959 , Wild And Blue, and Swingin' to name a few.  Anderson is a s close to Lefty Frizzel as anyone's likely to get

What I don't understand is why the original album with Swingin' on it has not been re-issued.  I'm sure no one doubts its' ability to sell...
