Responsible for defining all technical tasks required to successfully maintain, enhance, and support assigned applications and application components. Executes technical tasks as required and will support/mentor team members with their technical assignments. ? Serves as Technical Lead on all assignments and ensures successful delivery of all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and documentation. Creates and maintains project technical documentation and performs governance role to ensure team is adhering to published standards. ? Assignments often require interpretation and comprehension of highly complex information that must be communicated to the technology team, management, and the business community. ? May participate in definition of technical blueprint for assigned groups applications. Responsible for implementation of blueprint. ? Maintains performance metrics with all system implementations. ? Leads application build process in development environment and defines handoff process to SCM team. ? Designs all assigned applications and performs design and code reviews for all team members. Ensures adherence to application design and coding standards. ? Leads and mentors all team members, and is accountable for delivery of quality solutions on all projects. ? Conceives and develops system alternatives, recommends solutions to management, and leads team through solution implementation. ? Works with user community to design new systems and implement existing system upgrades for mission critical projects. Defines and implements flexible and extensible solutions that are easily maintainable. ? Gains approval of final systems design, ensuring that new and modified systems effectively meet user and technical requirements. ? May contribute to business case documentation, project scope, and project charter documents. ? Will manage all technical aspects of assigned projects to conform to project estimates, schedules, budgets, and plans. Will proactively alert management of necessary changes to schedule. ? Manages testing process from development perspective and works with QA/BA team to complete all testing. Ensures all bug fixes and/or enhancements are effectively incorporated into system. ? Will maintain up to date technical status from all team members in order to communicate overall technical project status to management. Required Qualifications ? Proven breadth and depth of technical expertise who can work independently with little or no supervision. Can manage technical deliverables for team members on assigned projects. ? Proven technical leadership skills and the ability to learn new technologies from a technical leadership perspective. ? Experience successfully implementing a variety of project implementations including complex and large scale technology projects. ? Possesses in depth knowledge of system and application design, development, test, and documentation standards. Experienced in governance of defined standards. ? Can accurately interpret business requirements to build high quality systems. Possesses drive to ask follow up questions clarifying issues and to design and build what has been agreed upon. ? Expert at quickly and accurately assessing business systems and technical requirements of any customer. ? Maximizes and enhances interrelationships between technology systems and needs of the business. ? Possesses advanced working knowledge of new products and technologies in order to accurately evaluate for use in ESPN environment. ? Develops a solid understanding of the interrelationships of teams current software applications and the processes/requirement of internal departments and external clients to develop effective solutions. ? Anticipates and avoids common problems; solves problems quickly and independently. Mentors project team through technical problems. ? Bachelors Degree or equivalent. Typically minimum of 8 years in the aforementioned subject matter. ? Drives continuous process improvement by incorporating project lessons learned into software development process.
