Department of Biochemistry invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry, College of Medicine.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. with a strong research interest in aspects of plant biochemistry and plant biotechnology.  In particular, due to the location of the Canadian Light Source at the University of Saskatchewan, expertise in structural biology, protein engineering or proteomics would be an asset.  Duties will include participation in both the biochemistry and biotechnology programs and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels of biochemistry.  The successful applicant is expected to have a strong research program and to obtain research funding from national granting agencies.  Closing date for applications is April 1, 2000.  Expected date of appointment is July 1, 2000.
