What really happens is Janeway and crew make a giant leap across space using some new one-shot propulsion method developed by the never before seen ensign Calamity Coyote. (A giant rubber band made from an antimatter/dilithium/dupontium/stuffium composite material is stretched between two moons. They put voyager in reverse and floor it which  stretches this thing out for a few light years. Once it has reached critical stretch Janeway gives the order to shut the engines off. *THWANG*) But that’s enough boring technical details! Anyway, Voyager ends up orbiting the Founder's homeworld. After scanning the Planets surface and finding the inhabitants to be sufficiently hazardous they beam up a Founder to study it.
