The Position Responsible for developing and delivering ALSTOM EMB software system and products for optimized asset scheduling and deployment. The position requires supporting front-line sales efforts at both plant and utility level, and developing and maintaining customer relationships. Principal focus will be on: : . Identifying market requirements for scheduling and management of generation assets . Leading the development of competitive products for asset optimization . Leading the delivery of customer projects in asset scheduling and management The position will require close coordination with ALSTOM EMB R&D technology development centers worldwide; and to support Power Services Customer Service Managers and ALSTOM GPS sales force personnel to optimize results for ALSTOM EMB. Reports to: Chief Scientist, ALSTOM EMB, North America Location: Seattle area,  The Responsibilities * Identify IT requirements of products for scheduling and management of generation assets * Identity IT trends, standards, and products relevant to Alstom EMB, and coordinate with other EMB R&D centers to achieve necessary compatibility.  * Build and maintain partnership relationbships with key customers * Lead development of products for decision support of optimized generation asset scheduling and management * Lead delivery of customer projects * Staff mentoring * Represent ALSTOM EMB at industry meetings, trade shows and conferences * Support business development activities, including customer visits, proposals, and product demonstrations. * Other duties as assigned Your Profile Candidate must meet minimum requirements for the job: BS/MS in computer science, and minimum ten (10) years relevant experience, at least five years of which must have been in lead position in developing real-time solutions for power system and market operations. Highly desired technical experiences include: software development technology involving data_base_, real-time processing, network communications, user interface, programming language, Other desirable experiences includes business development, Common Information Model (CIM/CME). Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required. Candidate must be a high-energy self-starter, who is highly motivated to "hunt", meet and exceed _object_ives. 25% - 50% travel is required, and may include some travel abroad. Valid passport and driver's license required.
