There was a recent article on a Portuguese parenting magazine about Indigo Children (read all about it here http://skepdic.com/indigo.html ). We (Portuguese skeptics) are thinking about writing something to the editors on this. While it's obvious the whole thing is a crackpot idea, it would make a better case if we could show it was a dangerous one. So I was wondering if anyone here has info on these guys, and on stuff like medical problems of treating children with ADHD as if they were aliens (apparently, one of the main theses of Kryon, a spirit channeled by Lee Caroll, one of the authors of The Indigo Children ), or financial scams involving Kryon ( http://www.kryon.com/ ) or  the oughten foundation ( http://www.oughtenhouse.com/_oughtenhouse/ohi.php ) Another author of this book who gets some publicity is Dr. Robert Gerard. His resumé: Robert began his working career as a civil engineer. Finding his interests lay with people, he completed a B.A. in Social Psychology (1978) and a M.A. in Management/ Organizational Psychology (1981). He completed all the required course work for doctorate in Educational Management in Georgia State University (1985) and Spiritual Psychology at the California Institute for Integral Studies (1992). (yeah... you get cancer). Well, this is a hoot'n a holler, but I'd like to know if there's any really nasty stuff in this we could use to scare the editors into dumping the journalist that is writing these silly articles.
