          *************************************                   POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT        ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY    Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology                    School of Education                  University of Louisville                                The Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology invites   applications and nominations for the new tenure-track position of   Assistant Professor in Counseling Psychology to begin August 1997.   The Counseling Psychology Program is a growing program actively   pursuing APA accreditation.  We encourage applicants who are   committed to pursuing this goal.   Position _title_/Rank:            Assistant Professor in Counseling Psychology   Minimum Qualifications:        1.   Earned doctorate in an APA-approved Counseling             Psychology Program        2.   Licensed or license-eligible in the Commonwealth of             Kentucky        3.   Evidence of commitment to research and publication        4.   Evidence of commitment to the teaching and training of             future counseling              psychologists.   Responsibilities:        Major responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in a        standard Counseling Psychology (master and doctoral-level)        curriculum; initiating and conducting a program of scholarly        research; academic advising; supervising theses and        dissertations; active membership in the University community        through service to the department, School of Education, and        the University; and active involvement in professional        organizations and community service.   Salary:        Negotiable, _base_d upon qualifications and experience   Appointment:        Academic year, summer teaching may be available   Beginning Date:                  August 1997                                Deadline:              Review of applications will begin May 1, 1997 and continue        until a suitable candidate is found.   Contact:              Direct questions about the position to                    Dr. Nancy J.
