sociobiology and evolutionary psychology Darwiniana Wilson wins the Sociobiology wars?
E. Wilson wins the sociobiology wars????! Why wasn't I told? http://www.edge.org/3rd_culture/wilson03/wilson_print.html Below 2 Blurbs from Edge.org (the location of the H.Q for the Third Culture, which is somewhat up in the air in the musical chairs between Big Science riffraff who can't figure where they went wrong on Darwin and the Last of the Romantic poets, I guess, humanists having been silenced by and large.)   Wilson claims the sociobiology wars are over. I doubt it. To win the argument you have to do something better than repeat the basic claims made over and over til people believe. There is no science of human behavior. We don't know how man evolved or how his behavior originated. There is no scientific defintion of the organism, let alone a theory of its evolution,  there is no decision procedure for determing anything conclusive on issues of, say, soul, the nature and boundaries of self, and the deep structure of man that millennia of seekers have learned to find after prolonged self-enquiry. This true evolutionary psychology shows signes of existing since at least -2000 BCE and yet modern science, Darwinism, and reductionist psychology is doing everything it can to squelch one of the most ancient legacies of man in the name of the post-Comtean positivist degeneration of the Enlightenment that made up Darwin's education, such as it was, in his goof off years in a preamble to a dumb theory that is brain dead on man, his nature. I was looking at Danielou's new history of India. There are now traces of this culture probably going back to the early Neolithic. What happened to it after its decline and fall in Hinduism, even Buddhism? Mahavir Jain was the last of twenty four teerthankers, passing the torch to Gautama so to speak in the New Age movement that occurred ca. -600 in India. This tradition is unaccounted for in any theory of culture, or the evolution of man, and I won't apologize for its own problematics. But the point is that the nature of man's consciousness has anciently been understood better than anything that current science could grasp in a zillion years. The danger of sociobiology, aka evolutionary psychology redividus, is that once dumb theories are promulgated long enough with enough dollar media clout and academic 'expert' backup the general population will succumb and the Plato's Cave existence wished for apparently by the brightest and best will come into existence, if they can exterminate the last signs of Buddhism (or coopt it as in Susan Blackmore's work) It's up to you to stand up to these high promo bulleys vaunting the high IQ's hiding their basic stupidity. This Plato's Cave existence must be desirable for economic purposes or else the peace of mind of those foresee an entomological future for the 'superorganism' of man, Total Control, and the good business of genetic spare parts heading down the pike thanks to the Big Business types now running the Genetic Revolution from corporate offices. It is essential to control Man to be able to subdefine a pseudo-man and call that Science, a definition controlled by the new priesthood. Bronx cheers on volume control. Baloney. We don't know how human behavior originated, although the eonic model of world history gives a pretty good idea of what is missing in current accounts. I would not ever use the term superorganism for this but it does show the completely non-genetic dynamics of long range directional evolution of the kind that has probably switched on an off at long intervals as a driver evolution in the descent of man. While that's not proven, the Darwinian case has not been proven either and clearly flunks the history test offered by the eonic effect. Science in its current form won't ever figure out the nature of man. Don't get hyped by these people Noone can stop this degree of social domination by this establishment. But at least you can exempt yourself from being intellectually cloned. Why worry, it is all so second rate that it could hardly last. A UNITED BIOLOGY (E.O. WILSON The sociobiology wars that began in the '70s are over. The biological approach has prevailed. Yet, I totally misjudged the ignorance of the reaction that I was going to get from social scientists and political ideologues on the left on the publication of my book Sociobiology in 1975. It started a real controversy and revealed the very widespread—in fact, in places almost universal—belief in the blank slate mind: that is, a mind unaffected by genetic factors or biological processes that might predispose social behavior, especially, to develop in one direction or another. That view, that the mind was fully developed by learning, by experience, and by the contingencies of history was virtual dogma in the social sciences.       A UNITED BIOLOGY: A TALK WITH E.O. WILSON Introduction by Steven Pinker We're beginning to get some revolutionary new ideas about how social behavior originated, and also how to construct a superorganism. If we can define a set of assembly rules for superorganisms then we have a model system for how to construct an organism. How do you put an ant colony together? You start with a queen ant, which digs a hole in the ground, starts laying eggs, and goes through a series of operations that raise the first brood. The first brood then goes through a series of operations to breed more workers, and before long you've got soldier ants, worker ants, and foragers, and you've got a teeming colony. That's because they follow a series of genetically prescribed rules of interaction, behavior, and physical development. If we can fully understand how a superorganism is put together, we'll come much closer to general principles of how an organism is put together. There are two different levels—the cells put together to make an organism, organisms put together to make a superorganism. Right now I'm examining what we know to see if there are rules of how superorganisms are put together. Water-powered mobile phones on the market in 2010

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has developed a battery powered water into the cells. According to previews.auto-moto-blog.co.uk properties for sale in spain articles.used-moto.co.uk what we read on the Samsung, when incorporated into the cell, metal and water in the phone react, formed hydrogen. Gas flows into the cell, where he reacts with oxygen. New this so that other hydrogen cells need methanol to produce a Samsung device, only water. One micro-cell can produce three watts of power and as the Samsung is able to power the phone for reviews.peugeot-used.co.uk used cars auto.online-auto.co.uk 10 hours non-stop conversation. This with an average of four hours per day talks, hydrogen cartridge would have to be replaced every five days. Samsung engineers from laboratories are confident that they could simplify the procedure, reducing load the phone for occasional topping up the water. The first device on the market may already be there for two years.
