habitat design Table design and Relationships-habitat mapping canadian arctic
Hi, I am creating a data_base_ for information gathered from Habitat Ground Truthing Projects. Basically, the project starts with looking at sattelite images, going out to the field by helicopter and gathering data about each site that we visit.  The data consist of the site number, waypoints, ground cover type, type of landform vegetation species found in each site along with several other bits of information that we use to verify what we see on the habitat satellite image maps.  What I have done so far  is set up about seven different tables that categorize theinformation collected into their respective attributes, ie. there is a main table then another table called landform/topography, which holds information about the type of landform that we are seeing in three different perspectives(Upland, Lowland and the type of slope). Now, How can I join these seven different tables so that when i am entering the data, I can continuosly enter data in one row without having to change the table I am working with.  I am assuming that I have to create a form with subforms, I tried that, but I am having trouble with setting up the relationships for each table. Please advise on what I should be doing. Thanks in advance,  Jonathan
