The West Point, PA, Neuroscience group is seeking a Biologist/Staff Biologist/Research Biologist to join the Ophthalmics Research Department. The successful candidate will join a strong, collaborative team of scientists working to discover and develop novel treatments for retinal diseases. The individual will be responsible for developing and validating in vitro and cell-_base_d assays for novel targets and transitioning these assays to high throughput screening. Additional responsibilities will include the generation and maintenance of cell lines and general cellular and protein biochemistry support. Qualifications If you have a BS or MS degree in biochemistry, cell or molecular biology, or a related field with 1 or more years of laboratory experience and a desire to become part of a dynamic drug discovery team, we want to hear from you. Experience with biochemical and cell-_base_d assay development, tissue culture, and general molecular biology techniques are required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Familiarity with ELISA assays, data analysis software, and previous experience with HTS assay platforms and drug discovery research are desirable.
