Some of those companies are now going to face a smaller profit margin, some might not make a profit.  Those that no longer make enough profit or say even as much as paid by cd's or bonds say fuck it and don't keep making cups. (sigh)  The thing that is SOOOOOOOOO amazing is this religious tenet that we the people who do NOT share in this profit or rent or interest actually care about it in the sense that you wish to convey. Other than the tax and rent consequences on _me_ I have no feelings one way or another about _who_ owns an enterprise or whether that enterprise is owned at all. And I certainly bear no grudge against those who would organize labor and create _real_ capital (cup making machines) in pursuit of a profit, or even in pursuit of a wage that justifies all the time spent in MBA school.  In a proper economy of _real_ capitalism where government doesn't just _GIVE_ bondholders money because they _HAVE_ money, if I want cups then cups will appear _BECAUSE_ there is good reason to organize a cup making enterprise.  You may call that reason profit if you like. But returning to tunnel vision land
