In May of 1996, I will complete my Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at Temple University. The program at Temple is intensive and gave me hands-on experience through laboratory work. In addition to my studies, I have also undertaken a challenging research project with Dr. Frank N. Chang in the Biochemistry department of Temple University. For this project I have been awarded the Howard Hughes research (HHMI) fellowship  and the NSF grant. The _object_ive of my research  project is the identification of active Bacillus thuringiensis (BT) components against German cockroaches ( Blatella Germanica).From this project and other relevant biochemistry courses, I have learned different biochemical techniques such as various recombinant DNA techniques,  chromatography, and protein purification procedures.
