Yesterday I received my declination of claim for my assertation that my soft tissue sarcoma was a result of Agent Orange exposure while stationed at U-Tapao Airfield, Thailand from Nov 1966 to Nov 1967.  I have been doing some research on the Internet and see copious mention of Agent Orange being used in Thailand.  In my declination letter, however, the statement is made: _base_d on studies and research performed by the Department of Defense, exposure to Agent Orange in Thailand during this time period cannot be confirmed .  Now, U-Tapao was a giant airfield hewn out of the jungle on the Gulf of Siam. Extensive defoliage took place.  When a large bomb dump was prepared for B-52 ordnance, extensive defoliation was necessary.  Common sense tells us that Agent Orange was used.  But, can that be proven?  VA tells me the only location where Agent Orange testing took place in Thailand was Pranburi Military Reservation.  I think most would agree that this is a disingenuous statement.  VA's final lines in my denial decision: There is no basis in the available evidence of record to establish service connection for soft tissue sarcoma, right arm.  This condition did not happen in military service, nor was it aggravated or caused by service .  Now, how arrogant is that???  Soft tissue sarcoma is so rare that there are fewer than 9500 new cases in any given year.  In my gut, I know Agent Orange was used at U-Tapao. Is there anyone out there who has had a similar experience?  If so, how would you suggest I proceed?  I firmly believe I am being victimized.  I'll be 71 years old in May.  Perhaps the VA is forestalling granting me compensation in the hope that I expire soon. Any advice/assistance anyone can render would be most appreciated. John Maguire
