Here is a photo from Don Evans, of the West Coast Railway Association in Squamish, B.C., Canada (close to some Olympic activity).  The WCRA was fortunate enough to obtain the two non-operational Budds at the end of BC Rail passenger operations at the end of October, 2002.  One needed a motor change-out and the other had some electrical wiring fire damage.  BC Rail was not about to invest another penny in the cars since the end was weeks away. Many rail fans were disappointed because capacity was reduced on the very sold-out final trips (I made the 3rd to last round trip). But that turn of events allowed the WCRA, an operating museum with the Royal Hudson steaming again, to get the two broken Budds and lots of parts.  Both now operate on museum property.  Maybe someday the CN (now owns BC Rail property) will let them stretch their legs on the mainline. BC-33 is an original PGE/BC Rail RDC-3.  It was recently repainted in PGE colors.  Notice BC Rail gave up long ago (too many hits at crossings) the idea of repairing the curved stainless fluting on the   ends, a very difficult process.  Not many Phase II Budds had it. But the second car, BC-21, is former RDG/SEPTA 9152 (which continued to labor for BC Rail with classmates 9155 (BC-20) and 9160 (BC-22). SEPTA's policy of out-of-sight-out-of-mind became WAY-out-of-sight, across the continent in British Columbia (1983).  The latter 2 units may have been re-numbered.  I recall a BC-14 and BC-15, and 14 is bent and not usable.  Two former BC Rail Budds now operate on the Newport, RI dinner train. Now, the PRSL question.  Does anyone know if RDG/SEPTA Budds ever substituted for PRSL Budds on PRSL rails?

      BC-21 is ex-RDG 9156.....9152 is the last RDC built according to the Budd builder's number. Bob, BC-33 is FANDAMNTASTIC!!! The PG&E livery is downright nostalgic. I thought 9152 was in the legacy fleet of the Reading Company Technical & Historical Society. Almost certain I shot 9152 on the BM&R. They have 9162, too. The X-Files TV show, blew up a 'beyond help' RDC in one of their episodes. I MISSED IT. I just ordered Dale Sanders long-awaited book on BC Rail. Plenty of RDC coverage, I hear.
