Just saw this today, and it looked kinda nice. Much less than All-Clad too. Lighter in weight but clad like AC. Anyone try this as yet? Like to save some bucks, if it's the same stuff.

I have a few pieces of the copper classic and they are doing fine. The heat throughput is better than my AllClad MC. Also, the saute pan sticks less. The only thing, the handles are slick and the discoloration of the copper but they definitely stand the full heat of a 16.000 BTU/h gasburner for 15 minutes. I roasted some coffee in mine (10 sate pan), besides using them for regular cooking. I don't bother to polish mine, they go straight in the dishwasher or just manually washed out. I like the mellow rainbow hues of the copper. Excellent cooking performance and that is what's important to me. The 6 piece sets on Ebay are going now for around $ 150, 10 piece sets for around 200-250. Don't know how long that will last, they are definitely worth much more than that. Selection seems to be drying up. 10 piece sets of the multi-clad go for around $ 200, but there is even less around.

bucks, if it's the same stuff. I recall seeing others post about the Cuisinart cookware.  As I recall, the reports were good.  I have seen it in stores and it looks fine to me.  You might also check out the Martha Stewart tri-ply cookware at K-Mart.  Nice stuff for a decent price.  It is available in sets and open stock.

Do the handles stay as cool as the All-Clad ones? Read the CI article on saute pans on their site. Said the copper one they tested sauteed too fast for them. << The only thing, the handles are slick and the discoloration of the copper but they definitely stand the full heat of a 16.000 BTU/h gasburner for 15 minutes. - Hide quoted text -- Show quoted text -

Read the CI article on saute pans on their site. Said the copper one they tested sauteed too fast for them. CI is who? Consumers what? In search of a brain? I don't think I've heard anything more ludicrous in quite a while, what did they use as a heat source? An open wood fire where you can't turn down the heat. BTW, you can rarely have too much heat when sauteeing, the problem at home is the lack of heat, not an excess. The copper pans are just fine, thank you.
