I am writing to this esteemed group attempting to find out more information on the best preservatives and conditioners on the market for cut roses from a garden. I have tried Floralife, Chrysal RVB,  and Vita Flora Floral Preservative. As a pre-treatment, silver thiosulfate has worked extremely well. The maximimum length any rose has ever lasted in my refrigerator (and kept its substance) has been about a week and a half, which is good. But I am trying to push the envelope. I feel roses can be stored much longer than that with the right product. I recently looked at the Floralife web site and noticed an intriguing new product called EthyBloc which has been available in South America for some time. I understand this product will be available in the U.S. during the first quarter of 1999. Anyway, does anyone out there have experience with this product, and does anyone use anything else than the above mentioned products to produce extended life in cut roses?
