ipod s Pc World and ipods
I decided to pay a visit to PC World yesterday to have a look at graphic tablets, needless to say I ended up roaming around the Apple Mac section and started playing around with/drooling over the ipods. One of their sales assistants came over and gave me the strangest sales pitch that I've ever heard They're great aren't they but they really are just expensive toys plus Apple are having lots of problems with them at the moment  I mentioned the fact that I was aware of the battery problems but he continued to rave on and on...... Yeah but there's other problems as well, plus if you do buy one NEVER wear the white earphones that come with it because 5 of out customers have been mugged for their ipods and the earphones are a dead give away That's when I walked away  (I left the graphics tablet as well..  £179 ... Yikes) mojo P.S . The only good news is that we're getting new G5's, Emacs and a portable classroom of 12 ibooks a college ..... So I will get to play with a G5, I'm so happy  *lol*

fact that I was aware of the battery problems but he continued to rave on and on...... I'd trust a member of PC World's staff to talk about computers as much as I'd trust someone at McDonald's to talk about their food Luckily this could be interpreted as a sign of confidence or an insult, I'll leave the interpretation to the reader Pete

I rapidly exited.

I rapidly exited. They're ok to buy from *providing* you know how much you should be paying and can tell if their special offer is at all special or not. Also providing you have a fly-by-night attitude to warranties... My iBoko 600 came from a Purple World in Brum. It had scratches on the casing and I made them an offer that was substantially below list price. They refused at first, but I persisted. I think they eventually let me have it just to get rid of me. Hey, whatever works eh? Jim
