<snip No intent .... I was painting a picture, and your poem provided the paint. If I work with another one of your pieces I'll provide a _link_ to the original at the bottom of the post. Thanks, Adam, glad you understand my concerns. You're welcome Will. How very gracious. I thought so, too, and likewise!

Did you see Vertigo? If yes, what did you think? Yes, but not until it was re-issued. I saw it in a tiny-screen room of a multiplex house. I remember being terribly disappointed, but I don't recall disliking anything about the movie. I also don't remember anything about it except for some fantastical plot elements that defy logic (a good thing) and, well, I always hated the way Hitchcock made his women stars look. I only saw it once, which for me is the same as not seeing it. I may have a recorded copy on Beta (among 100s of movies). I'll report back after I've looked through the tapes. They're triple-stacked two rows deep on a shelf in a closet. And maybe I don't have a copy. But I have State of Siege, Tiger Bay, and Freud (Huston's), and have been meaning to digitize those. Anyone: Are State of Siege (État de siège), Tiger Bay, and Freud (w/ Montgomery Clift) at Netflix? What about Dominoes (1988)?

Thanks, Adam, glad you understand my concerns. You're welcome Will. How very gracious. I have poems at rap. Pick a color if you like, and I'll repost one: twilight blue, snow white, or valentine red. Your pastiche method may be just the doorway for me to understand how to finish them. Maybe a combination of all three mixed together would be interesting... I think so, too! Purple would be a good flavor. What would you like me to do, and where? BTW

State of Siege and Tiger Bay are both listed as movies one can save, which usually means they are coming out in DVD and Netflix will be renting them. You wrote Dominoes, but I'm not finding a _title_ by that name in 1988. Is this it? http://www.imdb.com/_title_/tt0097224/ Looks like there's a 1976 movie named Domino (aka Dominoes): http://www.imdb.com/_title_/tt0074421/releaseinfo#akas At any rate, no, Netflix doesn't have Dominoes, and the film I _link_ed to is on VHS only. No, Netflix doesn't have Freud (aka Freud: The Secret Passion). I remember seeing it as a kid. They do have Raintree County which I also watched as a kid. It disturbed me lots! I can send a message to Netflix to add Freud and Dominox 1988 - they listen.

A lot of the footage is very poor quality, made with portable VTRs and 8mm movie cameras. Some is copied from news broadcasts. It's not likely anyone will clean it up. The first 10-15 minutes are so degraded looking, people will shut it off and send a complaint. I don't think Netflix will bother, unless you can charm them.
