National Championship Wrestling returned to Sylva, North Carolina on Thursday, September 4th for another night of hardcore wrestling action. -Chief Jay Eagle defeated Dream Maker Mike Hart by disqualification Hart was introduced as the newest member of The Heaven's Gate Survivors, and was accompanied to the ring by other Survivors Phoenix and Allister Wild. Eagle controlled most of the match, but was unable to put Hart out. Finally, after going for a pinfall, the other Survivors hit the ring, causing a disqualification. They triple-teamed Eagle and tossed him out of the ring. Their celebration was short-lived, as Eagle got back to his feet, got a 2x4 from a fan, and chased them back to the dressing room. -Cham Pain pinned Steve Corino Corino was making his NCW debut against the controversial Cham Pain. After a solid wrestling match, Corino accidentally nailed the referee with a chair, busting him open. As he checked on him, Pain nailed him with the chair as well. Outside the ring, Pain busted a beer bottle and carved Corino's forehead with it. Back inside the ring, Pain hit a DDT followed by The House of Pain (slop drop) on a chair to get the victory. -The Heaven's Gate Survivors defeated Big Train Bryan Wayne, Joey Matthews, & The Raider The Survivors (Phoenix, Allister Wild, and Mike Hart) had the advantage in experience as a team, and spent most of the match working over the 185-pound Matthews. Matthews battled valiantly, and the 425-pound Bryan Wayne hit an impressive dropkick and a Saturn Bomb during the course of the match. But the experience of The Survivors proved the difference as they secured the victory. -NCW TV Champion Rick Michaels wrestled Monster Mack to a no-contest Mack was accompanied by the newest member of The Ghetto Boyz, The Notorious I.C.E. Mack mentioned that after Hardcore Hell, D. Rock and Cain G. had been suspended for 60 days. Mack said NCW promoters could suspend whoever they want, he would keep on bringing in new Ghetto Boyz (I.C.E. is number 6). Michaels may have taken his opponent lightly, as he was looking ahead to next month's match against NCW Heavyweight champion Surge. The action spilled outside the ring, and both men brawled back to the dressing room. The referee had no choice but to rule the match a no-contest. -NCW Heavyweight Champion Surge defeated The Notorious I.C.E. The new NCW Heavyweight Champion had his first _title_ defense against I.C.E., who was accompanied by Monster Mack. Surge used his wrestling skills and power to dominate the much smaller I.C.E., but when the referee was occupied with Monster Mack, Rick Michaels ran out and hit Surge with a back suplex. Michaels then grabbed Surge's Heavyweight _title_ and left with it. I.C.E. took over, but Surge was able to come back and win the match. -Venom pinned Willow the Whisp Willow, the NCW Light Heavyweight Champion who doesn't even want it, took on Venom, the former NCW Heavyweight champ who feels he was robbed of the _title_.  Although this was their first match in NCW, they have wrestled one another numerous times in other promotions. This played into the match, as each time one wrestler tried one of their signature moves, the other was ready for it and able to get out of it. Venom tried for his Venom Bomb on two occasions, but Willow was able to get out of it each time. When Willow went for his Handspring Forearm, Venom caught him and hit a Belly to Belly Suplex. Willow dumped Venom outside the ring and hit an incredible suicide dive, landing in about the 5th or 6th row. Finally, as Willow went for a huracanrana, Venom caught him and delivered a vicious Stuff Venom Bomb to get the pinfall. NCW returns to Sylva on Thursday, October 2nd.  Already signed is NCW Heavyweight champ Surge taking on Rick Michaels.  NCW debuts in Mars Hill, North Carolina, on Wednesday, October 1st at the Mars Hill College Gym.
